A bullock cart ride to a nearby traditional village can also be arranged if you so wish to get that insight into the local culture and the local coir industry.

However, the Ayurveda centre near the resort remains the biggest draw among the tourists for here you can avail the traditional and rejuvenating therapies that will get you back on your feet all charged up after a tiring day spend in touring the areas nearby. Sightseeing
Pathiramanal
This is an island on the backwaters and very popular among the rare migratory birds from various parts of the world. Situated between Thaneermukkom and Kumarakom, you can only access this place by a boat.

This place is famous for being among those rarer places where farming is done below the sea level. Enjoy the views of the backwaters and paddy fields for these landscapes are as natural as they get.

Aleppey Beach

Krishnapuram Palace
The palace was constructed by Marthanda Varma which became famous for the mural paintings depicting the story of Gajendramoksham. It has now been turned into a museum and you'd love the sight of antique sculptures, paintings and bronzes, all rubbing shoulders with each other.
