About Pozhiyoram Beach Resort
It's a wondrous seaside vacation resort facing the Arabian Sea as well as Theeyaseril Pozhi Lake. The place is abundant in natural beauty, blessed as it is with the serene backwaters of Kerala, coconut palms as well as presence of many rare birds. You can see the sunny beach on the other side of the resort. The Pozhiyoram Beach Resort is situated at the distance of 90 km from the Cochin International Airport. The city of Alappuzha is only 6 km away whereas Cochin is about 60 km away. To travel to Trivandrum you need to travel for about 160 km by road.

Start your day with a stroll on a beach as it would provide the perfect setting for the day in offing or visit the local temples. Later you can go on a backwater cruise or choose to spend your day in the paddy fields. Go shopping for silk, spices, cotton, gold or better still, do all of these activities one by one.

Sightseeing
Alleppey Beach
The Aleppey Beach is the most popular of all picnic spots in the nearby areas. The dock on the seashore here is about 137 years old and extends into the sea. The lighthouse at the beach is greatly fascinating to the tourists.

Krishnapuram Palace
The palace, constructed by the King Marthanda Varma, later became famous for the mural paintings depicting the story of Gajendra Moksham. It has now been turned into a museum and you'd love the sight of antique sculptures, paintings and bronzes, all rubbing shoulders with each other.

Punnapra
Punnapra is only a short distance away from Alappuzha, and the place has historical significance as it was here that a bitter fight between the communists and Travancore State Police took place.

Ambalapuzha Temple
The presiding deity of this temple is Lord Krishna who is offered Palapayasam, an offering made of milk which is famous all over.

Mullackal Temple
This temple is situated in the centre of the town and is dedicated to the Goddess Rajrajeshwari.
