About Raheem Residency

Although the resort is situated on a seemingly nondescript Kerala Beach,
this heritage home displays both Mughal and colonial influence in its
architecture. Although the architecture may mentally take you to the days of
British Raj, the facilities will not as they are as contemporary as they
get. The house has been renovated with detailed personal attention. The
windows are wonderfully arched, the rooms are well lighted, however, the
elegance of the structure does not have that in your face attitude as it has
deliberately been kept simple. The flooring has been done in terracotta,
terraces are covered, all this in the close and cool vicinity of the Arabian
Sea.
Location
Raheem residency is located on the Beach Road in Alappuzha. It is situated
near an undeveloped beach in the city.
Recreation and Sightseeing
Recreation
If you do a little bit of survey of your own then you'll soon find out the
swimming pool imported from France, or if you have that classic laid back
attitude then you'd like to rest on the tree shaded terrace of the resort.
There is a garden as well where you can simply laze in the hammocks. After
you are tired of resting your body for too long (the duration will be
decided by you), arrangements have been made for your yoga or ayurveda
session. The best part is the relaxed hospitality by the guests as you won't
feel more welcomed anywhere else and would be put at ease as soon as you
reach there. You can always treat the beach as if it belongs to you as you
are going to have a very easy access to the beach.
The other activities that you can indulge here in are:
» Coir Village and Handicraft Centre Visit
» Go Fishing
» Backwater Cruise
» Cultural Performances

Fooding and Lodging
Fooding
The rooftop restaurant here is going to get all the votes with the food
being excellent although it scores somewhat low on the price front as the
prices match that of the western restaurants. Well ... good things always
come with a price. Especially the drinks served such as tea in their exotic
cups, the greatly nourishing carrot juice or the glass of wine while you are
on the poolside fill you up with a desire to return to the place time and
again.
Lodging
The main structure here has six air conditioned rooms which are all very
spacious having attached bathrooms. These are appointed with traditional
Kerala furniture. There is one large hall which has a high teakwood ceiling,
even the furniture is rich in the traditional sense. An outhouse which is a
separate structure has also been refurbished to give you a two bedroom
independent unit.
