About Plackatt House
It is a fine homestay facility in the city of Cochin in the state of Kerala

Location
The location of the Plackatt House is such that the Ernakulam Town Railway
Station can be reached within five minutes walking distance and is situated
just besides the Lisie Hospital.
Sightseeing
Mattancherry Palace
It is known among the tourism fraternity as the Dutch Palace, first it was
constructed by the Portuguese and later handed over to the King of Kochi. It
was in 1663 that the Dutch carried out the renovation work in the palace.
The mural paintings of Ramayana entice you with the themes of the art work.
Vallarpadam Church
The Vallarpadam Church was raised to the status of a Basilica in 2003. It
was given a special status by Pope Leo XIII in 1888. It was declared a
pilgrim centre in 1951.
