Rain Dance
After a hard day at the conference, this is an excellent opportunity to
cool down, with music provided by a DJ and a live ban
Sunset Cruises
Guests will be served cocktails on board a boat as they circle Cochin's
harbour, taking in a view of the magnificent sunset, to the accompaniment of
a two piece band. The boat, a traditional Kettuvallom or rice boat, can
accommodate a maximum of 50 persons.
Places of Interests
Ernakulam
The Parishath Thampuram Museum contains 19th century oil paintings, old
coins, sculptures and Mughals paintings, as well as some interesting temple
models.
Vypeen and Gundu Islands
Ferries shuttle across the narrow strait from Fort Cochin to Vypeen Island.
The island boasts a lighthouse at Ochanthuruth (open 3pm to 5pm daily), good
beaches and the early 16th century Pallipuram Fort (open Thursday)
Jew Town
The area around the Synagogue is a centre of spice trade and curio shops.
For antique shoppers this is paradise
furniture, objets d'art dating
back centuries can be found here as well as rare glass and beads.
Cherai Beach
Bordering the Vypeen Island, Cherai Beach is one of the most alluring
places for a cool water splash under the sun. If you're lucky enough, you
might even spot a dolphin while lazing on the beach. A typical Kerala
village with paddy fields and coconut groves nearby add to the scenic
beauty.
Vamanamoorthy Temple
This ancient temple in Thrikkakara near Ernakulam has inscriptions dating
back as far as the 10th to the 13th century
