It is a typical backwater homestay located on the lakeside near the largest backwater stretch of Kerala. This homestay is situated amidst sprawling greens which is a 6 acre large premises. Combine these greens with the backwaters and you have best of the Kerala for your eyes. The area around the villa is full of trees where you can wander among the coconut, mango, banana and pineapple plantations.

The Vembanad Lake Villas is located on the periphery of a small backwater town of Vaikom which is a town of a moderate size. This town is located on the banks of Vembanad Lake. Ernakulam Junction is the nearest railway station from here where Cochin is the nearest airport from Vembanad Lake Villas.

Recreation
The surroundings you get around the homestay itself is reason enough to believe that your recreations have started. That doesn't mean you don't have other options here . You can start your vacations with cycling and angling and you'll also get to operate the Chinese fishing nets. Watch the traditional art forms such as Kathakali, Thiruvathira, Chendamelam etc or enjoy the backwater rides in traditional houseboats.
Sightseeing
Pathiramanal
It is an island having an area of about 10 acres which is situated amidst the backwaters. Take time off to see some of the rare migratory birds which come here from many parts of the world. The best way to see this part of the world is to take a boat ride from Kodoorar in Panachikad to Kumarakom.

Changanassery
It is located at the distance of about 23 km from Kottayam. This place is famous for the Thrikkodithanam Temple where you can see 18th century old inscriptions which are historically significant.
