This island takes up an area of about 10 acres which is situated amidst the backwaters. See some of the rare migratory birds which come here from many parts of the world. Take a boat ride from Kodoorar in Panachikad to Kumarakom so that you can be able to see the place fully.

Ayyapara
Legend has it that Pandavas of Mahabharata stayed near this rock when they were in exile. The place gets its name from the temple of Lord Ayappa situated at Ayyapara.
