Kasargod is the northernmost district of
Kerala, sharing its boundary with Karnataka. Kasargod is located between
Western Ghats on the East and Arabian Sea to the West. It is famous for its
Coir, Handloom and Tobacco industries. There are many locations in Kasargod
which are thronged by film industry people for shooting of movies. Kasargod
city is located on the bank of Chandragiri river, one among the 12 rivers
flowing through the whole Kasargod district. It is also rich in folk culture
and dense forests of Coconut trees gives it a mesmerising look.

Chandragiri Fort, Ananthapuram Temple, Valiyaparmba backwater, Ranipuram,

Mangalore located in Karnataka, at a distance of 50 km, is the nearest
airport to reach Kasargod. Railway Station in Kasargod is connected by
trains from many cities in India. It also has an effective road network,
connecting it to various cities in Kerala and Karnataka by KSRTC and private
deluxe and luxury buses.
