It is situated near Mala Lake, Paravur between Kollam and Varkala in the Kollam district and is just 6 km away from the highway. It is situated 60 km north of Trivandrum and is 65 km away from the Trivandrum International Airport.

Thangasseri
It is a seaside village famous for the ruins of a Portuguese fort and churches. Regular buses ply between Kollam and this place.

Rameshwara Temple

Mayyanad
The place is well renowned for its shrines and temples and the most famous among these is the Subramanya Temple at Umayanallor.
