Fooding and Lodging Spice Village Wildlife Resort, Periyar

Accommodation
The inspirations for designing each cottage was derived from the native tribesman of Periyar. We have designed individual cottages on a landscaped spice garden . The dwellings are thatched with elephant grass and offers luxury and privacy.

The village has 47 rooms and 5 suits. The rooms are elegantly furnished with terracotta tiled floors, wooden beds and chairs and whitewashed walls There is a telephone, a fan and en suite bathroom with hot running water.

Other Facilities
At the centre of the village has a swimming pool surrounded by green lush trees. The dazzling blue water of the swimming pool tends to moisturize the placid environment. Spice Village has an exclusive ayurvedic clinic , well equipped for treatments.

Facilities like conference hall, games rooms, complete with table tennis, Carrom and Chess boards and a floodlit outdoor badminton court. Organic plantation tours and Farm barbecue dinner with Boon fire are also organised.

Cuisine
It has a buffet restaurant that serves wide range of traditional Indian and international cooking. Amnesties

Ayurvedic Centre
The Spice village offers the ayurvedic therapies at its centre under the guidance of an expert Vaidya (physicians) whom you can consult for treatment. The centre is well equipped with a dispensary and a qualified resident staff.

Dhara
Medication for 7 to 21 days or according to conditions. A mental relaxant consisting of herbal oils and medicated butter milk for curing insomnia, mental tensions and certain skin problems.

Sirovasthi
Proposed period for medication is 7 days or according to conditions. The treatment grease the head with special herbal oils. The treatment is good for headaches and vatha originated ailments Pizhichil
Massage with a herbal oil good for rheumatic ailments and nervous disorders. The proposed period for treatment is 7 days or according to the conditions.

Njavarakizhy
This treatment induces perspiration through external application of medicated rice concoctions. Good for joint pains, arthritic rheumatic disorders. The proposed time period for curing the ailments may vary depending upon the conditions

Udvarthanam
The massage is done through herbal powders and is good for obesity, paralysis and certain rheumatic disorders.

Medicated Steam Bath
The body is exposed to the rejuvenating vapours of special leaves and herbs that are boiled It eliminates toxins, reduces fat tissue and good for certain skin disorders.

Nasyam
A variety of herbal preparations used for cleaning the nasal passage..
