About Hiliya Resort
The Hiliya Resort is a real treat to stay in as it is set in the 75 years
old heritage bungalow which is built in typical Kerala style. The building
of Hiliya Resort is surrounded by lush farms of spices as well as fruit
trees. Here only organic farming is done to produce quality products. The
farm is located on the banks of a river where cardamom, vanilla, coffee,
pepper, ginger etc are produced. There is a barbed wire fence on all sides
of the Hiliya Resort for enhanced security. The staff members are fluent in
Hindi, English, Tamil, Malayalam therefore language is not going to be an
issue for you.
Location
The Hiliya Resort is located in Kenichira, which is only 12 km away from
Meenangadi junction. The resort is situated in the middle of Wayanad
district. The nearest airport is Calicut which is 134 km away whereas the
nearest bus stand is Kenichira which is 2 km away. Sultan Bathery is the
nearest city centre which is only 12 km away.

If you feel like getting active a little, play a game of badminton or other
indoor games . The place also provides you with cycles to explore the area
on your own. If you are an adventure enthusiast, backpack your essentials
and get out on an exploration of your own.
Sightseeing
Edakkal Caves
These are two caves located at the distance of 12 km from Sultan Bathery at
the height of 1000 meter. The caves have pictorial writings on them which
point towards the existence of prehistoric civilizations.
Pookot Lake
It is a fresh water lake which is located amidst wooded hills. Indulge
yourself and your family as there are options galore for recreation here.
You can go for boating here while your children play at the park.

The menu is that of traditional Kerala style which is prepared from
organically produced fresh farm food items. Breakfast and dinner is provided
whereas for extra meals you'll have to book in advance.
Lodging
As far as accommodation facilities are concerned, the options you can
choose from are a family suite, deluxe room, dormitory and a tree house as
well. In all, there are four guest rooms which were built in 1930 and were
renovated in 2005. The friendly staff will provide you with impeccable
service and they'll go to any length to give you the complete comfort
