The resort projects the state of Kerala in its full splendour. Rain Country Resort is nestled in the tropical vegetation as well as among the brilliant landscapes of Wayanad.

It is a two star beach resort and, situated as it is in Lakkidi, is only 3 km away from Wayanad. The number of cottages in the resort are deliberately restricted to keep the place unspoilt to the extent possible. This approach also ensures that the guests get soothing atmosphere for their vacations. There are two natural lakes and streams that run through the resort.

Kozhikode is the nearest airport which is 82 km away. The railway station of city of Kozhikode is 60 km away. Kochi is the nearest international airport and is 285 km away.

Thirunelli Temple
This temple is known for its astounding architecture and the beauty of the structure is enhanced by the view of the Papanasini river flowing nearby.

Pazhassi Tomb
It is the memorial of the Lion of the Kerala - Veera Pazhassi Raja. He organized the guerrilla warfare against the East India Company. Before being captured by the British, he took refuge in Pulpally cave.

Lodging
There are eight cottages in all situated in a valley between three hills. These are constructed in the traditional Kerala architectural style and the visitors can choose from among the following options:

The single room comes with a open veranda whereas the double room cottage also comes with all the modern amenities. The two room cottages can accommodate eight guests.
